🔻 { Connecting to Communicate } 🔻 [ ENG students edition ] conversation with ENG 101 student | Wendy | who used the writing in my class as part of her healing process since her brother passed away in September. Before posting our conversation, I asked Wendy if it was okay, because today is her late brother's birthday. She replied it would be a great way to honor her brother's memory. Throughout the semester, Wendy poured her heart out through writing. I could not help but be with her spiritually while reading her words of grief and growing clarity of what are important in life...family and faith. She used the essays and writing prompts to delve deeper what family truly means. Wendy taught me what it means to be strong in the face of losing a best friend and brother. I already miss having Wendy in my class, writing in response to the prompts...... Tuesday, 4 December 2018.
